Taking a trip down memory lane. On January 15th, 2019 @daedalusspinningwheels reached to me about testing their latest creation the Starling. The next day Dave offered the idea of possibly allowing me to print and assemble my own Starling as he was overloaded in preparing for launch. Two days later on the 18th I was printing what would eventually be named Starla the Starling Mini. I am so incredibly thankful for Dave taking a leap of faith for trusting me with his precious print files. Since then I’ve assembled 9 Daedalus birds and given tons of feedback both as a spinner and maker. Oh My SQUEEEEE!!!!!!! Finally after waiting at least 3 months for this cotton boll to open it’s finally cracked! The growing cycle is so bad for cotton here in the Pacific Northwest. I’m hoping to cut my remaining two plants back in hopes I can get them to continue to grow and produce better in the future. This is the first time I’ve seen a Bill get this big and actually shown signs of being productive. Today my flock of @daedalusspinningwheels grew by 3 💚💚💚 Dave and Becca generously allowed me to build three Sparrows. One is super custom in an unofficial color(neon green) with custom black inserts named Gir. The other two were printed by Dave and assembled by me. These two I’ll be using for promo content as my usual super custom birds tend to lead to lots of questions. 😂 All three Sparrows will be featured in an upcoming Sparrow Review for tinyStudio Creative Life Magazine. These little cuties have a few more hours of break in time. So I’m sitting here watching @lalaknits spinning on her Sparrow and I’m so JELLY... here’s mine! I help @daedalusspinningwheels with testing both as a spinner and as a print tester which helps Dave with development. I’ve made mine extra special with some Neon Green and Black custom inserts. I have some new birdies on the way from @daedalusspinningwheels that are doing their last checks before take off. I’m super excited for their arrival.
