This is such a fun photo that @the1764shepherdess captured of me carding up some gorgeous brown Merino that @seattlesuzer brought to play with. I swear no carding of my own hair was involved đŸ€Ł #Repost @the1764shepherdess with @get_repost ・・・ . The best fiber view today at the St. Distaff’s spin-in hosted by @nwregionalspinners at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington. . Peeking through the spokes of the 1920 CPW I had just purchased from the used equipment sale, chatting with @bionickristie @slantedstitches @seattlesuzer as we watched @evanitaewm card merino on cotton carders. I could possibly be a bit jealous that I can’t sit cross-cross applesauce very well any more. . Also got a few minutes of chat in with @schmutzerella @allenrberry @yarnengineer . So many wheels to admire, so many fascinating spinners. . Today was just a reminder that life with wool is pretty damn good! . P.S. I named him “Golder the CPW.” Golder for short. He once had the traditional yellow wheel and two owners before me stripped off that yellow as I heard she didn’t like it. There are still traces of the original color which gives a bit of a golden yellow tone. Shame on her though he’s perfect for me as he now is! . #spin15aday #stdistaffsday #stdistaffsday2020 #canadianproductionwheel #golderthecpw
