Last Tuesday I warped up a new ayllwi made out of @cascadeyarns 220 DK SW that I added additional twist to. While it is thicker than I'd prefer it's making a much better warp than the cotton I made with my first warp. I've only gotten to work on this one a couple days so far. This is just the progress from the first day which included creating the warp and weaving. The third photo shows the patterns I've been learning. Tanka Ch'oro, Siki-Siki, Cajitas, and Wactapunakuy Ch'oro. Background textiles. The Blue/Green woven textile was made by Christina Ylla Ccallisea of Chahuaytire. The last one in natural colors woven by Urbana Turpo Ccori of Sallac. Purchased through @centro_textiles_cusco. #abbysyarns #franquemontuniversity #andeanweaving #andeanbackstrap #backstrapweaving #weaving #weaversofig #handweaversofinstagram #handwoven #weaversgonnaweave #cascadeyarns #cascade220
