An extremely special delivery from Ed and Wanda Jenkins arrived today! I'm so excited to introduce to you all MERLIN! Ed has done a phenomenal job on this spindle. I've never seen anything quite like it, yet I can say from the moment I first spun on it, that it spins like a Jenkins. It took my brain a while to figure out how I wanted to wind onto it as the extra arm changed the math. After settling in with what I feel works best for me I can say it's just as enjoyable to wind as the normal cross-arm style spindles albeit a bit slower but that is partly due to building up muscle memory. I am a meditative winder so I enjoy every step of the process. I've been spinning with Ed's spindles for nearly 12 years. Every one I own I love and cherish. Ed's never ceases to amaze me with how beautiful each one is in every way. He helped me find my love for spindle spinning and through his spindles I've found the meditative winding process improved my spinning consistency. Merlin made of Fig - 1.065 oz (30.16g) #crossarmspindle #jenkinsturkishspindle #jenkinswoodworking #spinningwithspindles #spindlespinning #spindlersofinstagram #igspinnersinspiration
