Unbeleafable all plied up! I plied the second set first as I was anxious to see how the colors would play up since each color was paired with it’s neighboring color. I am so overjoyed with how it turned out and cannot wait to show you all the skeins. They are currently drying atm. The first set I had to ball up each gradient color on the Roly-Poly so I could ply from a center pull. I love the way @longdrawjames dyed this gradient set. There is subtle barber poling within the gradient colors that are plied on themselves. The combination of the subtle and then no so subtle really echos the beautiful colors found on fall leaves. Yarn went into the wash yesterday evening and has been drying since last night. I’m hoping to reskein, photograph, and then Roly-Poly all the yarn up sometime tomorrow. Unbeleafable on Rambouillet dyed by @longdrawjames. Spun on Maple the Sparrow. #autumnvibes #spinningtoknit #handspunhandknit #shawlknittersofinstagram #espinnersofinstagram #igspinnersinspiration #daedalusspinningwheels

Day 21-24 of the Woobly Wonderland 2023 Advent Calendar by @thewoobles. The Stocking on day 20 was the last item to be crafted. There was a super adorable Woobles themed stocking on day 21. On day 22 there was a packet of iridescent pins which look super adorable placed into the Christmas tree like little sparkly ornaments. Day 23 was filled with an adorable little tin and lastly on the 24th was a set of red and green stitch markers. Before this advent, I had only crocheted 2 items before the Shiba and Frog featured in these photos. I feel like I’ve grown so much from working on this advent. The assortment of a couple of large projects and lots of little projects provided a great mix of techniques and refreshers on some techniques to really help engrain them into my memory. Towards the end, I was thankful that the little projects were done so I could focus on getting some last-minute holiday prep done before we visited family. I’m highly looking forward to taking on another advent in the future and have already started in on some new Woobles. #woobles #wooblescrochet #wooblesadventcalendar #learningtocrochet #amigurumi

Day 12-19 of the Woobly Wonderland 2023 Advent Calendar by The Woobles. I had to play catch up on my Woobles yet again. I ended up making four pieces yesterday and two today. Day 12 was the adorable little Star to place on the Christmas tree. Day 14 these adorable little mittens were a lot of fun! Day 15, I loved the embroidery work on this tiny drum. Day 16, I loved making the little nutcracker hat. Henri the frog looks quite snazzy with this hat! Day 17 was a cute little tiny wreath. This one was quite different to work on than the other projects since most use magic loops. Day 19, this little Elf was a bit tricky. I only had enough of the tan for two of the three face rows so I ended up undoing and using some tan I had left over from Toast the Shiba. Day 20 a cute little stocking! I’m feeling so much more confident with my crochet skills. Prior to the Advent, I had only crocheted two projects in my life Henri and Toast. I love how small each project is and how despite that there seems to always be something to learn from it. I’m feeling super comfy with the magic loop technique and I’m in awe over how many new kinds of stitches I’ve learned and feel comfortable working on without videos. Though I’ve been double checking on some things just to make sure. #learntocrochet #wooblesadventcalendar #woobles #crochetersofinstagram #amigurumi #crocheting

Day 7-11 of the Woobly Wonderland 2023 Advent Calendar by @thewoobles. I fell a bit behind on the photos but keeping up with all the little projects. Day 7 was an adorable little present. I loved getting to learn how to turn the magic loop into a box shape. I ended up adding a crochet chain for the ribbon instead of just the yarn. Day 8 was a tricky one! It’s a tiny Christmas ornament that has embroidered stitches. The embroidery made total sense but I was having a lot of trouble avoiding going through the yarn in the process. I ended up forgoing the tiny stars. Day 9 was another tricky one! The Gingerbread house was a lot of fun but I had a bit of difficulty with the seaming for the roof. I ended up making use of stitch markers to connect the roof to help get everything in alignment before seaming. Day 10 cracked me up sooo much!!! The tiny lump of coal was loads of fun but definitely needed to get a bit more light on the subject. Day 11 a cute little elf hat! I have to admit I kinda wanted to continue crocheting the red and turn it into a tiny cute little chili pepper. I loved the color change row. It was a bit tricky at first since it was so small but it’s a great technique to learn. Out of my two Woobles critters I’ve made so far I thought it was more fitting on Toast than on Henri hehe. Overall I’ve been having a blast with each of the projects. I love how much I’ve learned in each project and I’ve been enjoying the mix of small and big projects to make sure I don’t fall behind. Though I did fall a bit behind on photo editing but that’s ok! #thewoobles #thewooblesadvent2023 #learntocrochet #crochetersofinstagram #ilovecrochet

Day 3, 4, and 5 of the Woobly Wonderland 2023 Advent Calendar by @thewoobles. Day 3 started up Part A of this adorable little Christmas tree. This tree is my 5th crochet project so far and was quite the undertaking. The body of the tree and its branch layers added a lot of new stitches I was unfamiliar with. It took me a bit to remember each stitch without looking at the super helpful videos but by the time I finished, I was quite comfortable with the new stitches involved. It took me two days to finish Part A of the tree and then worked on Day 4’s Part B which was the trunk today. I’m so glad that Day 5 was little ornament hooks so I could take my time finishing up the tree. Crochet items are kits by @thewoobles and made by me. Roll Top bag by @hideandhammer. Crochet hook by @furlscrochet.
