I feel so terrible for @abundantearthfiber for the loss of their trailer full of goodies. Preparing and setting up for a festival is such an intensive ordeal as it is but to loose everything is gut wrenching. It’s going to take them awhile to recoup. If anyone wants to help support them please make an online order. Everything they make is so wonderful. ❤️ #Repost @abundantearthfiber with @get_repost ・・・ It has taken me a couple of days to recover from the shock enough to post, but I feel I need to let everyone know what happened to us on Wednesday. Our entire inventory was stolen from a hotel parking lot during our drive down to Stitches West. We had a trailer hitched to our vehicle when we went to bed, and we walked outside in the morning the trailer was gone. We’ve filed all the reports, done all we can do. There is a chance it will be recovered if the thieves aren’t also discerning knitters. No one was harmed. We have each other and we have our creativity. We made everything that was lost, and we can make it again. The full impact of our loss honestly hasn’t hit yet. So, without having anything to show in our booth (which luckily was in our van instead of the trailer), we’ve turned our Stitches West booth into a gallery of images that show the people and places I’ve come to know as a mill owner. We’re asking for support by simply joining our newsletter and placing an order online. We expect it to take about 8 weeks to rebuild the fiber inventory and start fulfilling. Wool Tinctures will be available within a couple weeks. We love our work. We’ll be okay. We couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be surrounded by this week. We are so grateful to be a part of such a warm and supportive community.

Here’s my wrap up of #5shawls5days. It took me longer than anticipated since I elected to spin 2g for each knit plus Monster Hunter World LOL. I had a lot of fun blending and seeing how each knit up. I love how hand combed top spins up and knits up so beautifully. The drafting of hand combed top is a dream. #handspunstagram

Day 2 of #yarnlovechallenge — Volume. When I think of volume I think of all the issues of @plymagazine I own and how wonderful they are as a resource to learn new fibery fun. I’m super excited about the Winter 2018 issue as I’m currently working on an article for it. Here’s a new sneak peek! The fiber was dyed by @threewatersfarm. #handspunstagram

Day 1 of #yarnlovechallenge — intro/oops. Hi everyone! For those who don’t know me already my name is Evanita. I’m a photographer, knitter, spinner, maker and teacher. My original passion is photography and then my dear BFF @copper_moth lured me into the great wide world of fiber arts. I’ve been working on developing a 3d printing fiber arts business and I’m also a teacher/customer support for @fiberygoodness. Now onto my oops... so I’ve been sitting here for about 20 min looking for a self portrait I haven’t shared here for this post. I’m not a huge fan of photos of myself. This is my favorite newish one. Hopefully I can keep up with this challenge. Been a bit too preoccupied by Monster Hunter World LOL.
