Latest projects
Working on some pretty awesome projects as of late. On the first of the year I declared I would be doing a Spin 365 and today marks my 90th straight day spinning! I've finished two yarns so far Floating Leaves a beautiful green tonal BFL braid I received from a friend on Ravelry and a Merino/Silk 50/50 braid that I've been spinning on and off since TdF 2013.
My big project of the month has been my Spin on ALL the Things 2.0 where I'm spinning a full 4.3 oz braid across my flock of a dozen Jenkins Turkish Spindles.
For this project I'm spinning across a large variety of weights trying to achieve consistency across the entire gamut. It's been a lot of fun so far and super photogenic, reminds me of a Macaw.
Currently I'm on the second spindle for this project, my Egret. It's one of my favorite spindles to spin lace weight on.
Another awesome project I've been working on is testing out a super fun spindle by Classy Squid Fiber Co code named A Very Classy Spindle. It's milled aluminum and so pretty.
Once I finish a few more samples I'm going to be doing a full scale project with this braid. I think it's going to be a perfect combo.
Unfortunately with all these exciting projects going my elbow decided to give me a bit of guff so the past week I've been taking it easy but still spinning a wee bit each day to keep my spinning streak going. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend and hoping my arm will be good to go next week.

Website Updating
Hiya everyone!
Doing some pretty major updates to my website to better reflect who I am as well as alleviate some coding issues with APIs that are no longer available. The first major change is Instagram feeding onto the main page. I original had my most recent blog posted there and that was great and all when I was more actively blogging but it never did quite keep up to date and the API was killed off so I had to think of an alternative. I'm extremely active on Instagram so it's sort of like visual blogging which appeals to me a lot more. I hope you all enjoy seeing the photos here!
Some other things I'm working on is the creation of a Publications page. I've had photos published in both Ply Magazine and Spin-Off as well as some websites so I'm wanting to keep a record of this which you can find here. I'm also reworking the gallery set up so that I have two galleries to reflect my main passions Photography & Fiber Arts. This will better reflect who I am and make my best works easily accessible.
In other news I've been working on developing a 3D printing business which is taking quite a bit of time but will be well worth it. The future is getting brighter every day and I'm looking forward to seeing what adventures lie ahead. :)

What's Next?
Hiya Everyone,
Another year has gone by since my last post. I've been so busy lately between working for DeviantArt and working on my creative endeavors that I've lapsed in updating here. Unfortunately last week I lost my job with DeviantArt due to a layoff. For almost 10 years I had been there for the Community to help make DeviantArt's Help Desk Customer Service the best possible Customer Service across the web. Unfortunately this chapter of my life has come to a close and now I must decide what's next?
At this point there is much uncertainty on what I will do next. I absolutely loved waking up each morning and helping artists remotely with questions they had with the website and troubleshooting bugs they were experiencing to be able to collect and sort all of the important information that the deviousTechnology department needed to fix the issue. Besides all of my work I've done for this extremely large social networking website I'm also an artist and I wonder if perhaps that is the path I should take.
My first passion as an artist is photography with my main subject matter of choice being wildlife and nature but I am quite skilled at other forms of photography as well. I have an extensive collection of photography equipment including a several cameras both digital and film, lenses ranging from wide, macro, to telephoto, and even my own strobe kit. I've done wedding photography before but it's really not my forte and I was also the Photo Editor of my high school yearbook so I've had a lot of experience shooting at various events. I can be found taking photos on a very regular basis nearly ever day and no matter what I'm shooting I always shoot with an artistic frame of mind.
In addition to photography I'm also a fiber artist, spinning my own yarn and then knitting it up into my own finished objects ranging from shawls, hand warmers, socks, scarves, cowls etc. I use a variety of spindles including Turkish spindles and 3D printed drop spindles along with three wheels to create my yarn. I love knitting a variety of different things but one of my favorites is knitting lacy shawls. I also enjoy dabbling in other areas of fiber arts such as silk fusion paper, knotted bracelets, dyeing, and needle felting.
One of my more recent creative developments is learning how to use a 3D printer and develop my own models. We currently own two 3D printers a resin based printer and an extruder printer. I have been learning how to create my own models with a variety of 3D programs including SketchUp, 123D Sculpt +(formally known as 123D Creature), Sculptris, and 123D Design.
