Day 2 of Tour de Fleece: so um yea those Hedgies are totally how I feel right now. I was so excited about this project but it’s not going as well as I had hoped. The hand cards are absolutely wonderful but the dowel rods I sanded are just not smooth enough even after going from about 150 grit to 3,000 grit. The silk latches on and I can’t free the rolags from them smoothly like I can with my wool rolags. The combination of my bad rolags and my bad long draw skills is making me feel very discouraged and my right arm/wrist is now cranky. This project will be put on hold until I can sort out how to do this better. ☹️ Fiber is Stained Glass and Pitch on Camel/Silk 50/50 by @spottedewefibers. #handspunstagram #spinstagram #igspinners #spinnersofinstagram #handspun #handspunyarn #fiberfeature #wemakeyarn #TeamAkerworks2020 #teamdaedalus2020 #tourdefleece #tourdefleece2020 #tdf2020 #akerworks #3dprinting #teedeehedgie #spottedewefibers #starlingspinner #starlingxl
