Friday is a big day for @centro_textiles_cusco and @abbysyarns! It's the Black Friday sale! There is about a metric ton worth of incredible textiles from the weavers surrounding the Cusco area of Peru. These beautiful textiles you see here were all SPINDLE SPUN and handwoven on a backstrap loom. The large natural color blanket front right piece features hand-embroidered patterning for the large pattern stripes. The smaller textile to the left of the blanket also features a decorative embroidered seam that goes over the more invisible seam to join the two panels. These textiles are incredible in every way! I keep going to the studio to get them out and admire them. I cannot wait to see all the gorgeousness that will be shown in the Black Friday virtual trunk show.
