Day 6 through 9 of learning Andean Weaving through #franquemontuniversity. Continuing on with the first pattern that all Andean weavers learn Tanka Ch'oro. Upon comparing how I was doing back to the pattern section woven by a Junior weave I noticed my pattern elements were substantially longer. I've spent the next few sessions working on improving this aspect of the process and it's definitely looking better. As of today, I've got about 7.5 inches left but at some point, it'll get difficult to continue on with the pattern. Overall I'm feeling really good about my progress and have enjoyed all my time working on this. Background textile woven by Urbana Turpo Ccori of Sallac. Purchased through @centro_textiles_cusco. #abbysyarns #andeanweaving #backstrapweaving #weaving #weaversofig #handweaversofinstagram #weaversofinstagram #handwoven #weaversgonnaweave
