It's been a month since I started this project and still have quite a bit left to spin. I'm spinning about 16 grams of each color which should give me quite a bit of warp yarn to work with for the small beaded bands I'm hoping to create with this khaitu(Andean weaving yarn). After having spun with these spindles for over a month I have gained a lot of appreciation for these spindles. They are better than I could have ever imagined... so much fun to use and I enjoy the sound of the Chaj Chaj whorls so much. I've also learned new spinning techniques that may very well help me in other areas of spinning. I always enjoy learning with new tools as you never know what new things you'll learn and be able to use that experience to help you improve in other areas. Background textile was woven by Urbana Turpo Ccori of Sallac.
