The first two bobbins of 2 ply Acala cotton all skeined up! I decided to use the Figure 8 skeining method I learned from @abbysyarns. Traditionally, with this skeining method, you use your arms to wind the skein, but I figured I'd get super fatigued with all this yardage. I decided to set up my @akerworks ClampyKates to wind the skeins onto which worked quite well. I limited the skeins to approximately 200 yards each as I initially had a slight worry about applying too much pressure on the ClampyKates. They performed wonderfully for this use case! This batch of cotton skeins is approximately 1,050 yards. #akerworks #clampykate #ashenflock #longdrawjames #spinningcotton #easytospincotton #acalacotton #cottonspinning #wemakeyarn #spinningyarn #handspun #handspinnersofinstagram #daedalusspinningwheels #daedalusfalcon
